WHAT I'VE LEARNED AFTER THREE MONTHS OF COACHING

You have to start where clients are.

If clients have challenges in their day-to-day lives, then coaching starts by addressing them first.  I have found, that after a few sessions, we can begin to explore deeper issues of motivation, values and possibilities.

Often clients come for one reason but stay for another.

A few of my clients have come to me for help in attaining a specific goal, like getting a new job, or launching a new business.  However, after a few sessions, it becomes clear that working on personal issues is essential to the success of achieving their goals.

Understanding the personal creates the power TO make change happen.

It's so important that clients

  • Understand how they show up in the world
  • Recognize their automatic ways of reacting
  • Identify the perspectives they use to view the world
